Working under the direction of the Development Applications
Manager, will be responsible for designing and
developing methods and tools to measure and improve the
performance, stability, and scalability of MathWorks
products; analyzing and determining performance requirements and
participating in design reviews; collaborating with
development teams on identification of bottlenecks and
performance tuning; designing and developing performance,
scalability, and capacity testing strategies; and developing
tools to simulate and monitor key performance metrics.
Education and Experience:
Masters degree or higher (or foreign education equivalent) in
Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Science
and Engineering and no experience.
Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in
Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Science and
Engineering and five (5) years of experience in job offered or
five (5) years of experience analyzing code performance
Demonstrated expertise designing processes and benchmarking code
for performance analysis of disparate
code languages using MATLAB and Julia, Python, or R.
Demonstrated expertise documenting code performance processes
and test results, and presenting results to
product marketing and development stakeholders.
Demonstrated expertise in code parallelization within a multiple
core environment using OpenMP.
Demonstrated expertise in code performance profiling using
MATLAB Profiler, Flame Graphs, VTune, or xperf.
