JOB SUMMARY Under the leadership of the Nursing
Director/Administrative leadership, the Nurse Manager Amb is a
Registered Nurse responsible and accountable for the planning,
organizing, directing and evaluation of clinical, administrative
and operational and regulatory/compliance activities for their
assigned area. The scope of management responsibilities includes
clinical and safety practices of nurses and other members of the
clinical team, professional nursing practice, leadership and
professional growth, human resource management, financial
performance, system coordination and clinical performance (safety,
patient experience and quality) improvement. Qualifications Minimum
Requirements Education Bachelor of Science in Nursing Existing
incumbents as of March 1, 2024 must obtain BSN within 3 years of
this date Experience Minimum of 3 Years of relevant experience in
clinical practice. Minimum 2 years of progressive leadership
required. Experienced in Pre-admission Testing required. Licensure,
Certification, Registration Registered Nurse State of CT. Certified
BLS provider credentialed form the American Heart Association (AHA)
Certification in a specialty area required within 3 years of start
date in position or March 1, 2024 if already in position Preferred
Requirements Education Master of Science Nursing Licensure,
Certification, Registration Specialty Certification Knowledge,
Skills and Ability Requirements Broad and thorough knowledge of the
discipline of Nursing. Working knowledge of high reliability (HRO)
and LEAN process improvement strategies. Demonstrated ability to
coach and mentor for career advancement and professional
development. Exceptional ability to lead courageous conversations,
hold colleague accountable and manage change and conflict.
Specialized knowledge in area of specialty principles, practices
and trends. Strong ability to plan, organize and direct the work of
others. Strong ability to foster successful team efforts working
with a variety of management, medical/clinical staff. Strong
ability to influence, lead, and delegate. Basic financial budget
knowledge. Strong understanding of safety, security and joint
commission standards as it pertains to role. Strong ability to
respond effectively in emergency situations. Fosters an inclusive
workplace where diversity and individual differences are valued and
maximized to achieve the mission and vision of the organization.
Strong organizational and planning abilities. Result oriented,
ability to achieve targets within provided timeframe. Excellent
written and oral communications skills. Strong ability to exercise
discretion, Excellent ability to use sound judgment and make data
driven decisions. Strong analytical skills. Strong ability to
trouble shoot and problem solve. Excellent interpersonal skills
necessary to communicate with departments, employees, physicians,
managers, other agencies and the public. Ability to work
collaboratively with all departments. Ability to manage multiple
priorities in a fast-paced environment. Adaptability and
flexibility. Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and excel. We
