Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ED - Emergency Department - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/17/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Job Opportunity Position: House Supervisor - Emergency Department Traveler This position requires a skilled House Supervisor with experience in an Emergency Department (ED). Ideal candidates must have supervisory experience and be capable of managing a small community emergency department effectively. Shift Details: - Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM (12-hour Nights) - Hours per week: 36 hours Job Responsibilities: - Provide supervision and leadership within the Emergency Department. - Ensure clinical operations run smoothly, especially during high patient volume times. - Manage patient care by prioritizing tasks effectively. - Conduct thorough health histories and complete accurate physical assessments. - Develop patient treatment plans based on assessments and critical thinking. - Utilize good communication skills to interact with patients, families, and staff. - Handle emergency situations and unplanned events efficiently. - Demonstrate compassion, humor, and a collaborative team-oriented approach. Department Overview: The facility boasts a strong reputation for short wait times, with most patients seen within 30 minutes or less. The Emergency Department features 10 beds, handling a typical patient census of 8-15 patients per day. Requirements: - Minimum of 5 years of recent inpatient nursing experience. - Current supervisory experience within the last 6 months. - Experience in a Critical Access facility is required. - Familiarity with the Cerner EMR system is mandatory. - Travel experience is preferred. - Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher is preferred. Licenses and Certifications: - Valid RN license in New Hampshire or Compact state. - Current certifications in: - BLS (Basic Life Support) - ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) - PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) Additional Information: Travelers must have their own vehicle, as public transport options are limited in this small community. Requested time off during the assignment must be noted upon application, and requests after the initial upload will not be approved. No more than 5 days of time off will be accepted.
