Job Description:
Albany Medical Center, a leading healthcare system renowned for
our advanced medical practices and a premier medical college, is
seeking a dedicated Clinical Nurse III to provide exceptional care
in our Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) and Neurological
Intensive Care Unit (Neuro ICU). This position demands a
compassionate professional ready to deliver comprehensive patient
care, ensuring high standards of safety and efficiency. This role
involves direct patient care along with collaborative efforts with
various healthcare professionals to enhance patient outcomes.
Provide patient-centered nursing care in SICU and Neuro ICU
settings, adhering to established protocols and safety guidelines.
Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions as appropriate,
using computerized documentation systems. Participate in
interdisciplinary teams to improve patient care processes and
outcomes. Educate patients and their families on disease processes,
medical-surgical procedures, and other aspects of therapeutic
regimens. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and
monitor responses. Advocate for patient needs and provide emotional
support to patients and their families. Advanced understanding of
SICU and Neuro ICU clinical practices. Proficiency in EHR
(Electronic Health Records) and clinical software. Excellent
communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work well in
high-pressure situations. Strong critical thinking and
problem-solving skills. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision
Insurance Life Insurance Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in
the state of New York. Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification.
Certified Critical Care Nurse (CCRN) preferred.
