Job Description:
Albany Medical Center, a leading healthcare institution renowned
for our educational excellence and innovative medical research, is
seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse II to join our dynamic Labor
and Delivery / Antepartum team. In this role, you will be
instrumental in providing exceptional patient care, supporting the
physical, psychological, and emotional needs of expectant mothers
during labor, delivery, and antepartum stages. This position offers
the opportunity to work in a supportive environment that emphasizes
teamwork, ongoing professional development, and the integration of
research and clinical practice. Provide comprehensive nursing care
to laboring and antenatal patients, including monitoring mother and
fetus during labor. Assess, plan and implement care strategies
tailored to individual patient needs. Collaborate with
multidisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes.
Educate and support patients and their families throughout the
antepartum, intrapartum, and immediate postpartum phases.
Administer medications and manage pain relief options as
prescribed. Document patient care services accurately and ensure
confidentiality. Participate in continuous education and training
to stay abreast of latest practices in maternal and newborn care.
Advanced skills in fetal monitoring and other relevant clinical
technologies. Strong ability to handle high-stress situations
calmly and effectively. Excellent communication and interpersonal
skills. Proficient in maintaining comprehensive patient records and
documentation. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance
Life Insurance Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state
of practice. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Preferably
certified in Inpatient Obstetric Nursing (RNC-OB) or similar.
