Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: OR - Operating Room - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 04/06/2026 - Duration: 4 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview - Shift: Days, 5x8hrs - Hours: 40 hrs/wk - Start Date: Apr 6, 2026 - Length: 4 weeks - Openings: 1 Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN with strong ortho, general, and GYN surgical experience for a 4-week travel contract requiring scrub or circulator skills and Epic proficiency. Details - Surgical services unit within an inpatient hospital setting - OR case mix includes orthopedic, general, GYN, and eye service lines — strong ortho and general experience required, minimal eye experience acceptable - Scrub tech skills highly preferred; strong circulators will also be considered - Epic EMR experience required - 8-hour day shifts, Monday through Sunday availability required - No block scheduling available - Minimum of every other weekend required, with schedule flexibility to meet unit and patient care needs - On-call required approximately every 3–5 weekends as needed, with a two-times-per-week call requirement Requirements - Active VT RN license or compact RN license required; NY candidates with proof of pending NY licensure will be considered - Current AHA BLS and AHA ACLS required - Minimum 2 years of OR RN experience required - Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years required — non-negotiable - Strong scrub skills highly preferred; strong circulator skills accepted - Two references from a Nurse Manager and/or Supervisor required — at least one from the past 6 months and one from within the past year of employment - SSN and DOB required for consideration - Reliable personal vehicle required — public transportation is not accessible in this area; all-season or snow tires recommended November through April - All employment gaps over 90 days must be explained - Complete work history including bed count, EMR used, and facility type required Additional Information - Provide perioperative nursing care across ortho, general, GYN, and eye surgical service lines - This is a fast-start position — candidates must be available to begin within approximately one week of offer - This is a high-volume, structured environment with strict compliance requirements; all profile information must be thorough and complete - Religious or medical exemption documentation must be included in candidate profile if applicable American Traveler Job ID P-690474.
