The City Mail Carrier is responsible for delivering mail and packages to homes and businesses in urban areas. This role requires efficient route management, exceptional customer service, and the ability to handle physical demands associated with mail delivery. As an integral member of the postal services team, the City Mail Carrier ensures timely and accurate delivery within assigned neighborhoods. Sort and organize mail and packages for efficient delivery routes. Deliver mail and packages to designated addresses within the city limits. Collect outgoing mail from residents and businesses along the route. Report any delivery issues or irregularities to the postal supervisor. Maintain secure and confidential handling of all mail items. Interact professionally with customers to address concerns or inquiries about postal services. Strong organizational abilities for effective route planning. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Basic computer skills for tracking and reporting purposes. Physical stamina and strength to handle heavy packages and prolonged periods of walking or standing. Attention to detail in sorting and delivering mail accurately.
