Overview

  Pay Range : $20 per hour
  Hours : 15 hours per week
  QUALIFICATIONS
  To assist the BTG Coordinator with the Bridging the Gap program
  
  • 
    
  • 
    Help plan and assist Bridging the Gap Curriculum
    
    
  • 
    Review lesson plans and offer input
    
    
  • 
    Attend weekly staff meetings
    
    
  • 
    Attend at least one group per week as an observer
    
    
  • 
    Discuss each participant's progress with BTG Coordinator and interns
    
    
  • 
    Maintain a document of all participant's addresses
    
    
  • 
    Advocate for participants where necessary.
    
    
  • 
    Talk to participants as required/needed
    
    
  • 
    Handle and teach teens at Bridging the Gap with varying personal backgrounds
    
    
  • 
    Attend training sessions as required
    
    
  • 
    Coordinate with area colleges and graduate programs to recruit interns and volunteers.
    
    
  • 
    Represent The Salvation Army's social mission in the Bridging the Gap program
    
    
  • 
    Refer persons with spiritual needs to The Salvation Army Corps Officer
    
    
  • 
    Perform other related tasks as assigned by supervisor
