The sterile processing technician is responsible for maintaining and preparing medical equipment and instruments to ensure they are clean, sterile, and ready for patient procedures.

*Schedule:* 11:00 PM - 07:30 PM - Rotating weekends/holidays - On-call as needed
*Experience Required:* 3 years

*Pay Rate: $32/hr. on W2 all inclusive (no benefits)*

*Position Overview:*
Join our Sterile Processing Department (SPD) team as a *Sterile Processing Technician* in Newton, MA. In this role, you will ensure surgical instruments and equipment are cleaned, sterilized, and ready for use. We are looking for a detail-oriented professional with strong experience in sterilization processes.

*Key Responsibilities:*
* Clean, disinfect, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments and medical equipment.
* Test, evaluate, and process flexible endoscopes.
* Inspect instruments for cleanliness and functionality.
* Package and prepare instruments for sterilization.
* Monitor sterilization equipment and complete required documentation.
* Respond quickly to urgent surgical needs.
* Manage inventory and replace supplies as needed.
* Support training for new staff and volunteers.
* Rotate across SPD, GI, and OSC departments as needed.

*Qualifications:*
* *Experience:* 2 years in sterile processing or related field.
* *Skills:* Proficiency in sterilization equipment and instrument handling.
* *Computer Knowledge:* EPIC and CSIQ/SPM preferred.
* Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $32.00 per hour

Schedule:
* 8 hour shift
* Night shift



Education:
* High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:
* Sterile processing: 7 years (Required)
* EPIC and CSIQ/SPM: 1 year (Required)

License/Certification:
* CSPDT (Required)
* BLS Certification (Required)

Work Location: On the road
