Description MassMutual Fraud Operations plays a critical role in protecting MassMutual and its customers from fraud and financial crimes. The Cyber Fraud Analyst is a leading member of the Fraud Surveillance & Analytics team responsible for delivering enhanced monitoring and alerting in response to fraud events. The position reports to the Director of Fraud Operations and works cross-functionally with Security, Legal, Compliance and IT response teams. The Cyber Fraud Analyst will work closely with Fraud Analysts and serve as a technical mentor to Fraud Analysts as well as working closely with the Trusted Identity project teams responsible for deploying Customer Identity capabilities focused on preventative solutions to mitigate emergent threats. Responsibilities - Function as a technical lead to research and analyze digital activity to detect and remediate emerging threats as well as implement standard operating procedures used by the Fraud Analyst team - Report on and tune monitoring rules to address false positives & negatives, including the ability to leverage indicators and patterns of compromise to identify at risk customers and company assets - Work closely with Product Owners to provide operational support and maintenance of monitoring processes and applications through configuration changes, upgrades, testing and documentation - Streamline procedures and automate workflows where applicable to support timely response Basic Qualifications - Strong work ethic and proven track record of delivery in a fast-paced, high volume and rapidly changing environment - Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build relationships at all levels in the organization - Well organized with strong analytical skills able to research, analyze and present findings and recommendations in a professional and thoughtful manner - Positive can do attitude and demonstrated ability to overcome complex challenges and resolve sensitive matters independently - Experience dealing with stressful situations with the ability to deescalate stressed interactions amicably - Experience working under tight deadlines with demonstrated track record of delivering consistent results meeting or exceeding expectations - Ability to multi-task and re-prioritize work to maintain focus on high risk and high priority items - Ability to learn new concepts, systems and applications quickly and independently while considering alternatives to arrive at timely and effective solutions to complex problems Experience - 1-3 years of experience with investigative tool sets, such as a NIDS, NIPS, SIEM (i.e. Splunk, QRadar, Securonix, etc.), or Financial Crimes/ AML monitoring platforms (i.e. NICE-Actimize, FiServ-FCRM, FICO-Falcon etc.) - Experience performing intrusion detection, threat hunting and prevention monitoring along with documenting results of investigations - Experience in the Financial Services or Health Care industry, preferably with working knowledge of Insurance or Retirement sector - Working knowledge of Financial Crime, Anti-Money Laundering, Elder Abuse, or Diminished Capacity concepts, rules and regulations preferred Ranked No. 93 in the annual FORTUNE 500 Ranking (FORTUNE Magazine, June 2018) and recognized as a Worlds Most Ethical Company by Ethisphere, MassMutual is guided by a single purpose: We help people secure their future and protect the ones they love.
