How you will Achieve More with Intellia: The Global Publications Lead will lead the development and oversight of Global Publication plans for Medical Affairs by ensuring that clinical and HEOR data is published according to company SOPs and policies. The Publication Lead is responsible to ensure that information gaps are addressed with strategic publication plans and drive the development of publications to communicate scientific and clinical information for both internal and external stakeholders and customers. Within this role, you will: Strategically develop, lead and complete Publication Plans for assigned programs/therapeutic areas, ensuring robust strategic planning, tactical planning and implementation of congress presentations and manuscript execution in alignment with global publications objectives and initiatives Maintain and execute Publication Plans for clinical and HEOR publications for assigned programs/therapeutic in collaboration with a Publications Working Group (PWG) ensuring high quality and timely achievement of landmarks and deliverables Drive and coordinate vendor selection and handle vendor medical writing (MW) activities Ensure fair balance and integrity of available scientific data of all abstracts, posters, manuscripts and oral presentations Build effective partnerships with all stakeholders, including supported programs’ Medical Program Leads, R&D Program Leads, HEOR Program Leads, Statistical Program Leads, IP, and Legal Lead the Publication Working Group (PWG) meetings for assigned programs and ensure the timely, accurate execution of all PWG results and action items Coordinate/manage writing activities of external agencies and/or internal medical writers Critically review/edit sophisticated publication documents for quality, compliance and scientific integrity Lead monthly budget management and forecasting of publications spend within Medical Product Plans Deliver innovative publication solutions and publication extenders, as appropriate Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements as well as industry guidelines and Intellia policies About You: Minimum Requirements: PharmD, healthcare-related PhD, or MS with significant industry or related medical information experience preferred Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in medical writing, medical publications, and/or communications Certification as a Medical Publication Professional (CMPP) is highly desirable Willingness to travel (role anticipated to have about ~25% travel component) Skills: Familiarity with publication management tools and systems (i.e. Datavision) Critical thinking with an innovative mindset required Tight-knit collaboration and stakeholder management, communication and presentation skills Tried project management, vendor management, and budget leadership skills are required Self-starter with the ability to work collaboratively and the desire to work on a cross functional team Experience in development of abstracts, posters, manuscripts is required, ability to perform a literature evaluation is preferred Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and technologically savvy Meet your future team: The Medical Affairs Team at Intellia is here because we believe genome editing has incredible potential to treat and cure life-threatening and fatal diseases, and we believe the Intellia has the right people, strategy, and culture to do it well.
