Job Title: CT Technologist Profession: CT Technologist (Computed Tomography) Specialty: CT (Computed Tomography) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Thursday and Friday 9:00 PM - 7:00 AM; Saturday and Sunday 8:30 PM - 7:00 AM Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: 2 years License: Licensed in Massachusetts Certifications: ARRT (CT), BLS Must-Have: GE experience, IV certification/competence Description: CT Technologist needed for immediate placement. The position is for both inpatient and outpatient care. The facility is operating with one open floor and provides CT scans for various reasons. Candidates must be competent to insert IVs as this procedure is required. Occasional CT angiograms are performed, but no coronal CT angiograms. Experience with GE equipment is critical, as the facility has a brand-new GE dual energy scanner. The technologist must be able to work independently, occasionally alone. The candidate should have 3-5 years of experience and be a graduate of an AMA approved educational program in Radiological Technology. Essential functions include following hospital protocols for exams, operating all department equipment, and ensuring quality studies efficiently. Candidates should be able to adjust images according to required specifications. Proper documentation and identification of scans are necessary. Other responsibilities include reporting findings to relevant departments and maintaining a clean and functional work area. Clerical duties may also be required to maintain workflow and quality standards.
