Job Duration: 3 Months Division / Function: Medical Affairs /
Medical / Field Medical Pay range: $108/hr. on W2 Note: · Remote
role · This is a field-based position covering the New England
Territory (MA, NH, VT, ME, CT, RI, & Upstate NY) through a mix of
live (primary) and virtual channels. Eligible candidates must
reside near a major airport within the territory. · 7-8 years
related MSL work experience required. (GI Oncology experience
preferred) · Oncology MSL experience preferred. · Previous
experience with product launches and life cycle management. ·
Experienced in leading field medical affairs projects and/or
initiatives. Education / Certifications (essential): · Doctoral
level in the sciences required (MD, DO, PhD, PharmD, DPT, Nursing
or equivalent) Language (essential): · Fluent in English. Summary &
Purpose of the Position: · The primary responsibility of the Senior
Oncology Medical Science Liaison is to serve as a field-base
medical expert within Medical Affairs Organization and engage in
mutual scientific exchange. · Client’s Medical Field teams enhance
the understanding of scientific and medical value of client’s
oncology/hematology products (marketed and pipeline) with Thought
Leaders (TL) and Healthcare Providers (HCP) to further patient
outcomes. The Senior MSL leverages deep scientific and business
knowledge in life cycle management (LCM) and generates rich thought
leader insights shared across the organization. The Senior MSL
respond to customer inquiries to ensure focused and balanced
clinical and scientific information that supports the appropriate
use of products. · The Senior MSL works with cross functional teams
on business planning, special projects, and strategic development
to support US Medical Affairs Medical Strategy. · The Senior MSL
adheres to internal standard processes and complies with regulatory
and compliance requirements along with sustaining expertise in
disease state management, emerging therapies, and the treatment
landscape. Main Responsibilities & Technical Competencies: ·
Demonstrate deep scientific expertise on client’s
Oncology/Hematology molecules/products, and therapeutic area to
exchange relevant information and insights with thought leaders. ·
Build, cultivate and maintain a focused group of regional thought
leaders to ensure understanding of evolving healthcare trends
across the relevant therapeutic area landscape. · Respond to on and
off-label questions with integrity, compliance, and adherence to
legal, regulatory, and client’s guidelines, policies & procedures.
· Represent client’s and US Medical Affairs Team during scientific
conferences, continuing medical educational events, and medical
meetings. · Gather data and generate scientific insights from
stakeholder interactions and provide feedback to the organization
using appropriate mechanisms and tools. · Recognize and capture
scientific insights that deepen our understanding of the needs of
thought leaders, healthcare providers, and patients to share with
internal stakeholders. · Respond to unsolicited requests regarding
interest in investigator sponsored studies (ISS) and supports ISS
submissions through appropriate internal processes. · Assist with
Company Sponsored Studies (CSS) from Phase I-IV, including
investigator/site identification, site initiation visits and
feedback regarding operational management to ensure optimal site
selection and performance. · Train and facilitate speakers on
client’s products. · Build and cultivate working relationships
across internal stakeholders (Medical Affairs colleagues, Clinical
Operations, HEOR, R&D, Medical Information and Commercial)
while maintaining full compliance with relevant company, industry,
legal and regulatory requirements. · Work efficiently and balance
all work to enhance performance and execute local medical plan
strategies within specified timelines. · Participate on committees
or project teams that support MSL strategies and tactics as
delegated by MSL leadership. · Engage in continuous independent
learning within the therapeutic area and actively attend and
participate in upskilling programs related to Client molecules,
products, disease states and relevant business topics.
